Premier Brantley responds to questions regarding NEVLEC’s electricity usage during Tuesday’s Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly

During a Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Tuesday October 6th, a total of four bills were heard. The bills were the Nevis Limited Partnership Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Companies Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the Nevis Limited Liability Company Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

 

Questions were also heard from Member Opposite for Nevis 4, Hon. Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge. Dr. Hodge who posed the question: “What is the Nevis Island Administration’s indebtedness to the Nevis Electricity Company Limited as of August 31st 2026 for electricity usage?”
