Mr. Brantley provided those figures on Thursday night (July 23rd), during the Nevis Island Administration (NIA’s) town hall meeting.
This also comes as the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to significantly impact the Federation’s economy, particularly Nevis’. Additionally, the Premier said many people are not working:

Earlier this week, the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, announced that it will execute a temporary lay-off of its employees, effective August 1st 2020. However, an average of 150 employees will remain working to maintain the resort and “to meet the expected significantly reduced level of occupancy.
