Covid-19: “NIA’s revenue badly affected”

Mr. Brantley provided those figures on Thursday night (July 23^rd), during the Nevis Island Administration (NIA’s) town hall meeting.

This also comes as the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to significantly impact the Federation’s economy, particularly Nevis’. Additionally, the Premier said many people are not working:

Earlier this week, the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, announced that it will execute a temporary lay-off of its employees, effective August 1^st 2020. However, an average of 150 employees will remain working to maintain the resort and “to meet the expected significantly reduced level of occupancy.
