The police has confirmed to the VON NEWSLINE that an accident involving a child occurred in Bath Village, Nevis on Tuesday, May 13^th, 2025.

Investigations revealed that the child was riding a bicycle on the main road of the village when it collided with the side of a passing vehicle.  The vehicle swerved to avoid impact and struck a utility pole in the process.

It is understood that both the child and the driver of the vehicle were unharmed. The parents of the child has accepted responsibility for the damages.

The police is encouraging parents and guardians to ensure that their children are educated on road safety and have proper supervision especially when using the road.
