On VON Radio’s “Let’s Talk” program on Tuesday, October 22nd, Special Host of the program, Conrod “Niah” Liburd, Heavyweight Panelists Glendale Herbert and Roger Fifield addressed several matters that are taking place on Nevis.
One such matter was the game of ‘Football’. Mr. Fifield commended the Ministry of Education, coaches and the members of the primary school football teams before mentioning how large the spectating crowds were, comprising of parents and supporters for the primary school football matches. He then spoke about the secondary school football matches which should be brought to the attention of parents in the community:
He then mentioned that various other athletic meets such as Inter-Primary garners significantly more support than those of secondary levels such as Inter-High:
Mr. Fifield then remarked that early support from parents in teens, reduces their chances of straying into negative paths and behaviors such as joining gangs or committing crimes.
