Following the culmination of the free mammogram initiative at the Alexandra Hospital, Minister of Health, Hon. Jahnel Nisbett has informed the public of some statistics as it relates to the number of people that would have benefitted from the free health service for the last six months.

During the month of May, Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley announced the availability of free mammograms for the women of Nevis at the hospital until December 31st, 2023.

According to Minister Nisbett: “In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at promoting women’s health, the Nevis Island Administration has facilitated 399 women in accessing free mammograms at the Alexandra Hospital. The initiative, valued at EC$79,800, has provided a crucial subsidy for vital health screenings.”
