The Social Services Seniors Division on Nevis will be having an evening of “Elegant Hats and Afternoon Chats”, a Tea Party and Fashion Show at the Malcom Guishard Recreational Park on Thursday, October 31st, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The event will feature models of both young and old wearing various fashions. Coordinator of the division, Trudy Prentice spoke with the VON Newsline about the event and shared the importance of such initiatives:
Tickets for the event are fifty dollars ($50) for adults and twenty-five dollars ($25) for children and can be purchased at the Social Services Division or contact 469 5521.
Meantime, on Tuesday (October 29th), students of the Gingerland Secondary School gave back to the seniors of the community by having a Pampering Day where the seniors received foot massages, nail polishing, hair services and also learned to make items such as broaches and fascinators.
