Lawmen have reported that a quantity of assorted ammunition was recovered during a joint search operation conducted at an empty lot at Agnes Skerrit Street, New Road, St. Kitts, on July 28th.
This was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Unit and Special Services Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), the Joint Security Operational Tactical Team (JSOTT), and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).
The officers recovered a total of fifty-nine (59) rounds of assorted ammunition, comprising of fifteen 9mm rounds, ten .223 rounds, seventeen .38 Special rounds, eight .40 rounds, six .45 rounds, and three 7.62 rounds. The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF and the contraband items were taken into police custody. No one has yet been held accountable for the findings. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
