Autopsy performed on 2025 drowning victim

A post-mortem examination (autopsy) was performed on the body of 40-year-old Travis Smithen Rawlins project, St. Paul’s, St. Kitts.

 

On December 17th 2025, Mr. Smithen went diving in the Dieppe Bay area, with friends who observed that he was motionless in the water after some time.

 

Authorities say he was brought to shore and regrettably, was shortly thereafter pronounced deceased.

 

His body was examined by Resident Pathologist, Dr Adrian Nuñez Quintana, on Dec. 22nd.

 

The cause of death was asphyxia (or suffocation) due to drowning.
