Autopsy performed on body of SKN’s 3rd road fatality victim
An autopsy was performed on the body of 18-year-old Shanice Harvey of Dieppe Bay, St. Kitts: the Federation’s 3rd Road Fatality victim for 2025.
The fatal traffic accident took place on Saturday Mar. 22nd, in the White Gate area which is between Dieppe Bay and St. Paul’s.
Lawmen say the incident also left eight (8) persons seriously injured. Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle, a motor van, was travelling towards Dieppe Bay from the direction of St. Paul’s. The driver lost control and collided with a tree which caused the vehicle to overturn.
Upon arrival on the scene, Police officers observed all the vehicle’s occupants with visible injuries. Eight (8) persons (including the vehicle’s driver) were transported to the JNF General Hospital where they were treated and warded.
Ms. Harvey was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body was examined on Friday Mar. 28th by Resident Pathologist, Dr Naudica Phillip, who concluded that her cause of death was hypovolemic shock.
