Autopsy report released for Half Way Tree car accident victim

An autopsy report has revealed the cause of death for fifteen-year-old Lashley Weekes who passed away following a vehicular accident in Half Way Tree, St. Kitts.

 

 

 

The incident occurred on Friday, May 19th, 2023 with a motor truck owned and driven by Morgan Wyatt of Sandy Point, running off the island’s main road and colliding into a house. Mr. Wyatt was travelling in the direction of Sandy Point with three passengers, namely Lashley Weekes, Tijay Matthew, and ‘Stachie’ of Saddlers. The crash resulted in Mr. Matthew and ‘Stachie’, falling out the truck’s bed on impact. Mr. Weekes was the passenger inside the truck. Regrettably, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

 

 

 

Following the autopsy performed by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez, it was determined that the cause of death was Cranio-cervical Trauma due to a motor vehicle accident
