Autopsy reveals cause of death for 72-year-old man
An autopsy was performed on the body of 72-year-old Gary Welsh of North Carolina, USA, on Friday May 12th.
On the evening of May 9th, Mr. Welsh, an overseas visitor, lost his balance and fell down a flight of stairs at a hotel in St. Kitts. He tragically succumbed to his injuries en route to the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
He arrived earlier that day on vacation with his family.
Resident Pathologist – Dr. Adrian Nuñez concluded that Mr. Welsh’s cause of death was traumatic brain injury due to skull and bone fractures as a consequence of a fall from several feet.
