Blind Awareness Month to be celebrated in May

As the Caribbean Region continues its recognition of Blind Awareness Month, the federation can expect a number of initiatives and activities in the near future for the inclusion and advancement of blind and visually impaired individuals in SKN.

 

 

 

During an interview, President of the St. Kitts Society of the Blind, Mr. Rockliffe Bowen spoke in reference to the blind and visually impaired community often being underestimated. He also spoke on an initiative the society is currently working on:

Regional Blindness Awareness Day will be celebrated on May 31st under the theme: “Creating equal opportunity and planning for the future of persons who are blind and visually impaired”.
