By-Election aftermath: CCM’s Candidate says “sometimes in defeat there is a great victory”

Four days after the By-election here on Nevis, the VONNEWSLINE spoke with the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM’s) candidate, Mr. Keith Scarborough, regarding his 4th attempt to win the Nevis 5, St. Thomas’ Parish seat.

 

The by-election was held on Thursday Mar. 5th.

 

Mr. Scarborough lost to his competitor, newcomer Mrs. Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP). Mrs. Simmonds received 514 votes while Mr. Scarborough received 191 votes.

When asked if he will run again in the next local elections here on Nevis, this was his response.
