Byron Messia Makes Waves on U.S. Afrobeats Chart

SKN’s Dancehall-fusion star, Byron Messia is making history again. His collaboration with Fireboy DML, ‘BMF’, reached number 38 on the U.S. Afrobeats Song chart, marking his second time on the list.

His first was “Talibans 2” with Burna Boy, which hit number 3 in 2023.

Fans are celebrating his rise, especially seeing him mentioned alongside big names like Skillibeng, Asake and Wizkid. At just 25, Byron has already won a Grammy for his feature on Chris Brown’s 11:11 Deluxe album and earned the first U.K. Platinum certification for a Trap Dancehall song.

Born in Jamaica and raised in St. Kitts, he started making music at 15 and has since gained international recognition, with fans across Africa, the UK and the U.S. celebrating his unique blend of Caribbean dancehall and Afrobeats.
