Caribbean Intellectual Property Offices to meet in St. Kitts to discuss AI

Intellectual Property Offices (IPOs) from across the Caribbean will meet in November in St. Kitts, to discuss a number of objectives regarding the global standard of protecting intellectual property. The meeting will be hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization.

 

 

 

One topic on the agenda for the meeting will surround the way forward in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Artificial intelligence is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. With AI growing larger by the day, questions have been asked regarding how IPOs will protect the copyright owners of AI property.
