The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis (or Federal Government) has named Carlton Pogson as Acting Financial Secretary (FS) in the Ministry of Finance-St. Kitts.

A press release says “Mr. Pogson brings more than two decades of expertise in banking, finance and strategic leadership. He most recently served as Senior Manager and Team Lead at Republic Bank, overseeing commercial and cooperate banking in the Federation. His career also includes senior posts at the Bank of Nova Scotia and the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis.”

As acting Financial Secretary, he will be responsible for fiscal policy, budgeting and financial governance, key areas for maintaining economic stability and growth.

The Government congratulates Mr. Pogson on his appointment and looks forward to his leadership in advancing the nation’s financial priorities.

Prior to Mr. Pogson, Mrs. Hilary Hazel was the FS and the VONNEWSLINE was reliably informed that she retired.
