Foreign investors are granted citizenship of the twin island Federation in return for making substantial investments in the socio-economic development of the country, under the CBI. Passports are sold at US $250,000 under this program.
Considering the decline in revenue compared to previous years and international scrutiny from the EU for example, PM Drew indicated that changes were made to the program, in order to save it.
