This October, the nation proudly celebrates the Month of Older Persons under the theme: “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights”.

This year holds special significance, as Charlestown on Nevis was recognized earlier this year as the first Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO)-designated Age-Friendly City in the Eastern Caribbean.

Other key events include the “You Are Not Forgotten” Awards, a Community Day with schools to bridge generational gaps and the first ever “Seniors Got Talent”.
