Chief Immigration Officer highlights successes and future plans for SKN’s ETA System

Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Sheldon Jeffers, on the latest In-Focus episode, highlighted the successes and impacts of the recently installed Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) System outfitted with a bio corridor that allows quick and efficient entry into the country.

 

One positive impact highlighted is the improvement of national security efforts. This instance was given:

 

 

Several plans to improve the ETA system in the future were discussed including installing additional corridors, even at the seaports. Currently, to use the ETA system there is a discounted service charge for non-nationals of the federation as well as non-nationals of OECS and CARICOM member states. Mr. Jeffers stated:
