As defined by Microsoft, “Biometrics are a set of physical characteristics, like fingerprints, that are unique to each person and can be used for identification. Biometrics provide a way to use physical attributes to measure and confirm a person’s identity.” Examples include fingerprints, and facial identifiers.

Travizory is a Swiss Based company responsible for the development and implementation of the federation’s Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) System and as stated will collect the biometric data of potential investors. They leverage AI, machine learning, facial recognition, and big data analytics to enhance security and efficiency at borders.

PM Drew underscored that these features are important to continue strengthening the nation’s CBI programme especially amidst rising geopolitical developments and tensions and “engender confidence” in our international partners and citizens.
