Climax of activities for C-49 to be held today

Culturama 49 activities were held over the weekend and we are in the climax of the festival.

 

 

 

Sunday night Aug. 6th, the Bank of Nevis. Ltd Miss Culture Queen pageant was held at the Cultural complex, where 5 contestants vied for the title of 2023 Miss Culture Queen. In the end, Miss Four Seasons Resort, Nykeisha Henry, emerged as the winner. The placements and points are as follows: 2023 Miss Culture Queen: Nykeisha Henry, Miss Four Seasons Resort (715 points), she also won two of the judged segments (Ambassadorial Speech & Wear and Interview) and won the Miss Congeniality award, 1st runner up: Nangela Semple, Miss NEVLEC (705 points) and 2nd runner up: Kelcy Edwards, Miss FLOW (693 points).

 

 

 

Other awards were: Best Performing Talent: Kelcy Edwards, Miss FLOW (227 points), Best in Evening Gown: Celina Brown, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd (183 points), Best onstage Interview: Nykeisha Henry, Miss Four Seasons Resort (221 points), Miss Popularity: Nangela Semple Miss NEVLEC and Miss Photogenic: Celina Brown, Miss St. Kitts-Nevis Anguilla National Bank Ltd. Odecia Richards, Miss S.L Horsfords was also one of the contestants.

 

 

 

Saturday Aug. 5th, the Culturama Art, Craft & Food Fair, Day 4 of the Taiwanese Expo and the Magnum Wet Fete were held. Eight (8) finalists competed in the TDC Senior Kaiso Monarch Finals on Friday night Aug. 4th. With his renditions “If You No Strong” and “Confession”, Andrew Nisbett singing name “Hollywood”, captured the top spot and became the 2023 King. Results were: King Hollywood (837 points), 1st runner up – Dis N Dat: (786 points), 2nd runner up – Nutsy: (769 points). Activities continue today with the Last Lap and Parade Day.
