Health Centers across the island of Nevis are currently holding Antenatal Clinics throughout the month of February.  

Organised by the Community Nursing Services on Nevis, Antenatal Care also known as Pregnancy Care or Maternity Care, is the care a woman receives from health professionals during pregnancy. 

This also comes after the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) through its Latin American Centre for Perinatology (CLAP) sector launched their global “28 Days… Time to Care and Love Campaign,” designed “to increase the knowledge, skills and self-confidence of mothers, fathers, families and caregivers of newborns and also raise awareness among health professionals of the importance of good care practices to reduce neonatal mortality”. 

The CLAP Sector of PAHO provides technical expertise to promote and improve health care for women, mothers and newborns in the countries of the Region of the Americas.  

The next Antenatal Clinic on Nevis will be held on Monday, February 7^th, 2022 at the Charlestown Health Center from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
