Consumers in arrears have until March 1st to pay their outstanding water bills or face disconnection

Water consumers in arrears have until Monday, March 1^st, 2021 to pay their outstanding water bills or face disconnection.

This announcement was made on Thursday, January 28^th, 2021 by the Nevis Water Department.

The statement reads (and I quote) “The Nevis Water Department wishes to advise all of its valued customers that disconnections would be conducted throughout the island of Nevis beginning March 1^st, 2021.” Unquote.

Customers owing more than 90 days must bring their accounts up-to-date to avoid disconnection.

Meanwhile,

Nevis’ Premier, the Hon. Mark Brantley made an appeal to consumers delinquent in paying their water bills to make the necessary payments.

He made the plea at his monthly Press Conference on January 28^th, 2021:
