Contestants for two major Sugar Mas pageants have been revealed as St. Kitts and Nevis prepares to celebrate the 55th edition of the Federation’s National Carnival.
The Republic Bank Miss Teen St. Kitts and Nevis 2026–2027 contestants were unveiled on September 28th. The nine representatives are: Theia Ballington of Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Leana Walters of Verchilds High School, Shakaylia Tatem of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, Naimah Hamilton of Gingerland Secondary School, Rainier Martin of Washington Archibald Secondary School, Tas’Lynda Bartlette of Dr. Denzil Llewellyn Douglas Secondary School, Kevecia Fahie of Cayon High School, Kezanica Willock of Basseterre High School and Khalia Powell of the Charlestown Secondary School.
Earlier, on September 1st, five Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen Ambassadors were revealed: Xyarra Wilson, Mia Alexander, Karina Dore, Ajane Bristol and Ashley Wilson.
Beyond the spotlight and titles, the stakes were also raised for two of Carnival’s most established senior competitions. The St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) unveiled an enhanced prize package for the Senior Calypso Monarch and Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen contests, with each winner set to receive land, EC$20,000 in cash and additional prizes.
The substantial rewards added another layer of significance to competitions that celebrated musical expression, culture, talent and national identity.
