Cost-of-Living Task Force Launches “Smart Spend SKN” to Empower Consumers
Cost-of-Living Task Force Launches “Smart Spend SKN” to Empower Consumers
The National Cost-of-Living Task Force has launched a new public awareness campaign called “Smart Spend SKN” to help citizens make smarter purchasing decisions and manage rising living costs.
The campaign kicked off with a comparative infographic showing that switching to an alternative Corn Flakes brand can save families up to $525 per year or about $10.35 per box. These savings are enough to cover essentials like over a month of electricity or three months worth of fresh produce.
Chair of the Task Force, Dr. Marcus Natta, highlighted the impact of small, informed choices, stating “same bowl, smarter spend” is more than a tagline, it’s a strategy for resilience.
The campaign supports the Task Force’s wider mission of addressing cost of living challenges across key areas such as food, energy, housing, transportation and local production aiming to build a nation where citizens thrive not just survive.
