The Japanese ambassador, H.E. Yutaka Matsubara, was cordially received by St. Kitts and Nevis for a fruitful courtesy visit.

 To explore future cooperation and common interests in the fisheries sectors, Ambassador Matsubara met with the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Marine Resources, the Hon. Samal Duggins.

Minister Duggins said the visit was “fruitful” as both seeking to enhance the ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries SKN and Japan. 

Ambassador Matsubara said he hoped Japan and St. Kitts and Nevis will work together more, especially in these important sectors.

 He further emphasized the value of our two countries’ friendship and 

expresed his sincere gratitude for the cordial welcome given by the 

Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.
