CoVID-19 Curfew: 436 patrols conducted, 4 persons charged to date here on Nevis

In an update to the citizens and residents of the island of Nevis, Superintendent Lyndon David of the Nevis Division of the Police Force, provided statistics in relation to arrests and patrols conducted.

 

Superintendent David, who is also a member of Nevis’ CoVID-19 Task Force, spoke during Monday’s CoVID-19 briefing and mentioned the following.

According to Section 12 of the SRO No. 15 of 2020 regulations, (Restriction on domestic travel), “the Saint Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the Saint Christopher and Nevis Defence Force, shall have powers to stop any vehicle and inquire as to the purposes for which that vehicle is being utilized, and may arrest anyone found in violation of this regulation.”
