CoVID-19: Prime Minister Harris announces new regulations and “gradual relaxation”

In an address to the nation on Wednesday, April 15th 2020, St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, announced new regulations to guide residents here in the Federation accordingly, as the nation continues in its precautionary measures against the Coronavirus.

 

The Prime Minister gave an explanation of the new regulations.

 

 

Another total curfew was also announced.

 

 

As the partial curfew extends to Friday April 17th, residents in Zones 2 and 4 will be allowed to purchase their necessities.

Residents of Zones 1 and 3 were given the opportunity to purchase necessities on Thursday, April 16th, 2020.

 

Zone One (East Side) comprise all areas in the east of a line through the centre of Fort Street, Basseterre, continuing north through Victoria Road and extending all the way to the roundabout on the FT Williams Highway at the RLB International Airport just west of Taylors Housing Development.

 

Zone Two (West Side) comprise all other areas in St. Kitts, from Parsons Ground travelling via Sandy Point to Basseterre and including all other areas in the Basseterre Valley such as St. Peters, Central and West Basseterre, but excluding East Basseterre.

 

Here on Nevis, Zone Three comprise the parishes of St. Paul’s, St. Thomas and St. James.
