CoVID-19 reopening of churches: No collection plate nor common cup, should be passed around

A number of protocols have been established for the Reopening of churches here in St. Kitts and Nevis, as the nation continues to fight against the Coronavirus (CoVID-19).

 

Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, made an announcement concerning the new Statutory Rules and Orders (SRO) No. 19 of 2020 Emergency Powers (CoVID-19) (No. 8) Regulations, which now allows churches to open on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

However, based on the CoVID-19 protocols: Reopening of Churches, which was issued by the National CoVID-19 Task Force, there are a number of restrictions.

 

Chair of Nevis’ CoVID-19 Task Force, Dr. Judy Nisbett, in seeking to sensitize the public, spoke about Churches hosting services.
