The 51st celebration of Nevis cultural festival, Culturama, will officially open this evening.
As the island gears up to celebrate the festival’s first in its second half towards a century of folklore and history, the opening is expected to be a spectacle of local performances inclusive of the masquerades, clowns, string band and more in a kaleidoscope of color and festive cheer.
The event will go down at the NEDACS Cultural Complex at 8pm.
The opening will commence almost two weeks of festivities including pageants, calypso and soca competitions, Poets in the Square, Food, Craft and Arts Fair, Jouvert Jump on and Street Parade. The celebration will culminate on Tuesday August 5th 2025.
This year’s festival will be held under the theme “Nevisian Pride Second to None, Culturama 51.”
