“CXC has not finalized grades”, says Nevis’ Junior Minister of Education
Junior Minister of Education here on Nevis, the Hon. Troy Liburd.
The Minister was speaking at a Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Dec. 9th 2020 and informing the Nevisian public about the status of the July 2020 CXC examinations.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CXC (Caribbean Examinations Council) adopted a modified approach to grading, which was to combine multiple choice and School Based Assessments (SBAs), or the alternative to SBAs.
Following the exams, educators from across the region called on CXC to investigate the alarming results for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.
