DCash to be rolled out on March 31st, ECCB’s Governor says

The Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Mr. Timothy N. J. Antoine, has announced the public roll-out of DCash, the ECCB’s digital currency.

In an announcement on Tuesday Mar. 16th on ECCB Connects Social Media channel, he expressed his pleasure in the DCash initiative.

DCash is a securely minted digital version of the Eastern Caribbean (EC) dollar issued by the ECCB. The DCash initiative aims to create greater financial inclusion in the ECCU, as well as increase economic growth and business opportunities.

The ECCB will roll out DCash initially in Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Lucia as part of the ECCB’s Digital Currency Pilot.  For more information about the DCash Pilot, search for DCash EC on social media.
