May has been chosen as the month for the Department of Agriculture Awareness activities.

A number of events will take place during the month. Activities began on Tuesday with a staff devotion at the Larinson Parry Agricultural Depot at Prospect.

(Today) Wednesday, there will be an extension division training from 9am to 3pm at the Nevis Disaster Management Department at Long Point.

Other activities will include a Fish Pot Making Workshop that will take place on Saturday May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th at the Jessup’s Playing Field from 9am to 2pm daily … …. A Staff Development Training Workshop on May 15th, 17th and 19th at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre, a VET Open House on May 17th at Prospect, the New River Farmers Cooperative Ms. Earth Princess Pageant at the Nevis Cultural Complex on Saturday May 27th.

Activities will conclude with the Agriculture Awards and Cocktail Reception at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park from 6:30pm on Thursday, June 1st.
