Deputy Governor-General, Her Honour, Mrs. Hyleeta Liburd, O.B.E., M.H., acting on the advice of the Cabinet of the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), has declared Wednesday, April 1^st, 2026 a Public Half Holiday in recognition of the 2026 Gulf Insurance Ltd Nevis Primary Schools Championship Meet.

The meet will be held at the Nevis Athletics Stadium also known as the Mondo Track at Long Point, Nevis at 11:00 a.m.

Last year’s winner and 6^th time back to back champions, Charlestown Primary, will defend its title against the St. Thomas’ Primary, Violet O. J. Nicholls Primary, St. James Primary, Joycelyn Liburd Primary, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary, Ivor Walters Primary, Montessori Academy, Nevis Academy and Maude Crosse Preparatory School.
