The Nevis Historical and Conversation Society will hold its 21st annual Earth Day ‘Clean Island Sweep’.
Since 2003, the society has held the initiative in its effort to maintain the cleanliness and health of the environment by removing white goods and other trash from the island’s residential properties, land and roads.
This year, with another grant from Ocean Conservancy, the sweep began on Saturday, April 20th and carried out with the support of the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority. This initiative will continue (today) Monday, April 22nd.
