As the Atlantic Hurricane Season 2023 carries on, the Nevis Disaster Management Department (NDMD) continues to provide information to the Nevisian public in the event that emergency action must be taken.
During Wednesday’s On the Mark Programme, Director of the NDMD, Mr. Brian Dyer enlightened the public on how they should prepare if they would need to utilize the various emergency shelters around the island. Residents, especially those in homes which would likely not withstand an approaching hurricane are often encouraged to stay in a shelter for their safety.
