Early Morning Raid at His Majesty’s Prison Uncovers Contraband
A major security operation was conducted at His Majesty’s Prison on July 9th, 2025, which led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of contrabands, including 15 cell phones, marijuana, improvised weapons such shanks, alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco and other prohibited items.
According to lawmen, the joint operation which took place between 4:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. involved multiple security agencies including: the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s Special Services Unit,Anti-Narcotics Unit, and Joint Security Operation Tactical Team (JSOTT), The St. Kitts and Nevis Defense Force, Customs and Excise Officers and Prison Officers, under the leadership of Acting Commissioner and Corrections, Mr. Spencer Isaac.
The operation aimed to reinforce security, curb illicit activity and disrupt criminal coordination inside the prison. All confiscated items were handed over to the Police for further investigation.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to institutional discipline and public safety and thanked all involved for their professionalism and collaborative effort.
