Earthquake recorded near Basseterre, St. Kitts on Monday The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Center (UWI-SRC) recorded an earthquake on Monday May 26th 2025. The 4.5 quake took place at 10:55pm. Its location was latitude of 17.57 degrees N, longitude of 63.31 degrees W and it struck at a depth of 10 km. It was 260 km NNW of Basseterre, St. Kitts. It also occurred 294km NE of Fajardo, Puerto Rico and 310km NE of Río Grande, Puerto Rico.
