Easter celebration kicks off with Kite Flying Competitions on Nevis

As Easter approaches, Nevis’ annual Kite Flying Competition will be held on April 18th (Good Friday) at the Flats in Cole Hill, St. John’s Parish, Nevis at 1:00 p.m.

 

 

The event will once again be hosted by the St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC).

 

 

Registration of kites will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at a cost of $5.00. The various categories are Most Creative Kite, Best Designed Kite, Biggest Kite, Best Flying Kite and best Book Leaf Kite.

 

 

Meanwhile, on Monday, April 21st, the Butlers Community Development Club will host its Kite Flying and Easter Egg Treasure Hunt Competition from 2:00 p.m. at the St. James’ Primary School Playing Field.

 

 

All are invited.
