The Department of Youth’s annual Youth Impact 12 Award is expected to see a number of individuals recognized for their various contributions to the development of Nevis.

Every month this year, members of the public have had the opportunity to submit nominees based on their dedication and accomplishment in a specific category. From these nominations, persons have been chosen to carry the title of awardee in their designated field.

This year awardees include: Shabaina Powell in Education and Lifelong Learning, Christopher Clarke in Volunteerism, Jalden Myers in Sports Excellence, Kerisha Powell in Youth Development, Hydeia Tyson, Youth in Agriculture, Wentworth Smithen Youth in Culinary Arts, Eliesel Ramirez Dorsett, Youth in Performing Art and Jonathan Ward in Cultural and Historical Preservation.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 28th, 2023.
