The Ministry of Agriculture on Nevis has received the equipment needed to move forward with its Broiler Facility Initiative.

The facility is expected to promote Nevis’ Broiler Production and reduce the import food bill as local farmers will have the option of getting their birds slaughtered and broken down when the project is completed.

Giving an update regarding the progress and steps-to-be-taken moving forward was Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley:

The machinery was received on May 26th, 2023 and is expected to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2023.
