Events with Vaccinated and Non-Vaccinated individuals are to continue to adhere to existing protocols

Events that have both Vaccinated and Non-Vaccinated individuals in St. Kitts & Nevis (SKN), are to carry on with existing COVID-19 protocols, such as the wearing of face masks, social and physical distancing etc.

These protocols have been in place since March 2020, when the Federation recorded its 1st two (2) imported cases of COVID-19.

This is Prime Minister – Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris:

The Government of St. Kitts & Nevis is seeking to achieve the Herd Immunity threshold, that is, having at least 70 percent of the population Vaccinated.

However, Medial Chief of Staff at the JNF General Hospital – Dr. Cameron Wilkinson, stated recently the Federation may not reach Herd Immunity by October 2021 (which is also the month scheduled for a full re-opening of the country).

Thus far, almost 13,000 persons have received their 1st dose of the Oxford Astra Zeneca Vaccine.
