Federal Government puts temporary solution for National Water Crisis in place
The government of St. Kitts and Nevis has formed an agreement with Royal Utilities to provide Desalinated Water to the Frigate Bay Area. This initiative was confirmed by Federal Minister of Utilities, Hon Konris Maynard in a statement released on December 23rd.
The statement and temporary solution came shortly after the Minister’s National Address on the Ongoing Water Crisis in St. Kitts on December 19th 2022.
During the announcement of the new initiative to aid in providing adequate water. Minister Maynard spoke on how it would benefit the island more specifically the capital of Basseterre.

The expected amount of water available is between 150,000 and 300,000 gallons a day.
