Federal Gov’t launches new Digital Insurance Card system
Federal Gov’t launches new Digital Insurance Card system
Post Credit: VON Radio
The Federal Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis officially launched a new Digital Insurance Card system. About 8,500 public servants are set to benefit.
The National Caribbean Insurance (NCI) WellCare Digital Insurance Card enables insured government employees and eligible dependents to receive care from participating providers, without paying the full cost upfront or submitting reimbursement forms.
Members will only pay the required co-payment at the point of service, by swiping their card, while the remaining balance is processed instantly through NCI’s real-time digital claims platform.
Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Terrance Drew, mentioned this at the launch on May 13th.
