Federal Minister of Communication and Technology, Hon. Konris Maynard recently attended the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2023, organised by the GSM Association in Barcelona, Spain.

The congress which took place from February 27th to March 2nd, saw 80,000 industry experts, researchers, business leaders, executives and Government officials also in attendance.

It was held under the theme: “Velocity: Unleashing Tomorrow’s Technology – Today”.

Commenting on his Facebook page, Minister Maynard stated that “the conference was a melting pot of all the new and emerging technologies that we need to be using to improve the delivery of Government and Private sector services”.

He also added that “Other developing countries are making the investment and we should too. Consequently, as the new Minister of ICT, my Ministry will lead a mobilizing effort to get more industry practitioners from SKN, both from the Public and Private sector, to join in valuable conferences like these as we build a capacity that is needed to fulfil our Digital Transformation mandate.”
