Female candidate replaces “Patches” Liburd in No. 1, PAM says
The People’s Action Movement (PAM) Party, which is one of three (3) parties that make up the current Team Unity Administration, has replaced Ian ‘Patches’ Liburd as its candidate for Constituency Number One (East Basseterre).
During a press conference at Royal St. Kitts Hotel, in St. Kitts, on Monday, Oct. 18th, Political Leader of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister, Shawn Richards, announced the individual.

The announcement also comes following Mr. Liburd’s defeat at the 2020 polls, by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s candidate and now Representative, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley.
Throughout the party’s 56 year history, they have had women candidates in the persons of Mary Charles, Jonelle Rawlins and Constance Mitchum. Lawyer Ms. Natasha “Shanny” Grey gave brief remarks, in light of her successful nomination.
