The Cyber Nations Programme 2025 officially got underway as the first cohort of trainees received their laptops during a brief but significant handing-over ceremony (today), Thursday June 5th. The distribution marked the formal commencement of the government’s ambitious cybersecurity training initiative.
The programme, a partnership between the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Protexxa, a leading Canadian cybersecurity training provider, is designed to empower the nation’s workforce by offering participants internationally recognized certifications and hands-on, work-integrated learning opportunities in the high-demand field of cybersecurity.
Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, delivering remarks at the ceremony, commended the participants for embracing this unique opportunity. He highlighted the programme as a gateway to well-paying, future-ready careers, and underscored the government’s commitment to building a digitally advanced and cyber-resilient nation.
