The Federal and local Government have openly expressed their hope in revitalizing the country’s economy, through the reintroduction of air traffic since the announcement date of the borders re-opening. 

Every sector of government particularly the Hospitality sector has experienced massive losses in revenue, since the closure of the borders on March 25^th, 2020.

Premier Brantley spoke about the impacts experienced since the closure of the country’s borders here on Nevis:

Meantime, 

British Airways has suspended flights to four Caribbean islands namely: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica and St. Lucia. 

The notice was issued following the UK Government’s announcement of a national lockdown for London.
