Focus being placed on visitors ‘spending over visitor number says Minister Henderson
Federal Minister of Tourism, Hon. Marsha Henderson.
As the federation prepares for the peak of the 2023-2024 Tourist Season, the ministry has voiced the importance in placing major focus on the spending of the destination’s visitors in order to achieve the most successful season possible.
She also spoke on a recent study the United Nations Development Programme which concluded that the St. Kitts volume driven strategy is incompatible with what it is trying to achieve with the Sustainable Tourism Agenda. With considerations made from those results, the strategy of the tourism framework must change:
