Force Personnel Office moves to Modernize and Upgraded Human Resource System

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has made advancements in recent days, on improving their technology of their Human Resource Management System.

Some of the objectives of the new software are to upgrade the employee database management system and track an employee’s entire history; to automate the leave management system; to conduct online appraisals and recruitment and to assist with the calculation of overtime, among other things.

During a training session held on Monday July 20th, Force Personnel Officer, Mr. Clifford Govia, led the session demonstrating how to navigate the program.

Mr. Govia explained that “when the program is fully implemented there will be a dramatic improvement in the following areas: communication, transparency, accountability, storage, accessing and retrieval of data, as well as easy access to data.”

This, the first of many training sessions, was attended by Superintendents and Inspectors.

The additional training sessions are expected to be held for gazetted Officers in Division ‘B’ on July 28th and in Division ‘C’ on July 30th, 2020.
